Frank C. Davis III, Chairman

My involvement with Evergreen began over 11 years ago when I was first introduced to them by my church, Highland Park Presbyterian, where I serve on the Benevolence Council. As a member of that committee, I was assigned the role of liaison between the council and Evergreen. One of my roles was to oversee that our church's annual gifts were used in a prudent way, consistent with our criteria for continued giving. Through my role I subsequently developed a relationship with Evergreen’s President.

Through the President, I was introduced to staff members in the Dallas and Fort Worth area and had the privilege of visiting one of Evergreen’s Community Homes as well as the work area. During my visits to these programs, it was visible that Evergreen performed and operated with the highest quality.

Eventually I was asked to join the Evergreen Foundation Board, because of my experience in investments and my newfound fondness of Evergreen. I joined the Foundation and discovered that all the Board members were exceptional people and came from all the regions in which Evergreen served.

I have served on the Foundation for 6 years, recently rotating off, and now serve Evergreen's Board of Directors, currently serving as Chairman. I am so proud of Evergreen’s staff and the managers for the work they do. They do an exceptional job in a field that is underpaid and often thankless.

I consider it a privilege and am blessed to be associated with such a fine and well run organization.
