Client Needs Fund
The Client Needs Fund is a fund that has been designated for the sole purpose to provide and meet the needs of Evergreen’s nearly 1,000 clients. Many times client’s insurance and family members are unable to meet a particular need(s) of the client and that is when this fund is utilized. Eye glasses, dental procedures, appliances, home furnishings and even clothing are all goods and/or services that Evergreen clients have requested and because of this fund, received.
Each month Evergreen receives numerous requests and without the generous support of our donors we would not be able to fulfill them. It is important to note that every cent of every dollar designated for this fund goes directly to Evergreen clients as well as the fact that without donors this fund would cease to exist. Below is a sample of just some of the common requests made and the cost that directly correlates with it:
- $150 for protective helmets/gear
- $450 for a new mattress and bedding
- $800 will purchase a generator for clients in independent living and in the Community Homes (this is especially important during hurricane season)
- $2,000 + will cover the client’s dental needs
- $2,500 will assist a client with the purchase of a motorized wheelchair
- $3,000 will purchase a wheel chair lift
- $3,000 Assistive technology for individuals with communication challenges
